HE'S not being jerked. He knows where he stands...they would have told him already if he were dressing or inactive.

Of course they are, but doing this just gives that media more crap to pile on Jared with.... "Jeeez, Goff can't even keep his back up job" is the kinda bs you're gonna hear on the radio and TV and message boards. Would kill him to just show some confidence in the kid and make the announcement instead of jerking with the media?
