Couldn't agree more.
There is NO NFL RB that can't be stopped if the D keys on them and keeps everyone up close.
The only way to stop that, is to have a credible passing game.
I don't care who that involves: WRs, slots, TEs, even RBs.
But if the D just flat doesn't believe your passing game will hurt them, but the running game can, guess what they're going to do?
The Rams don't have a dominant Oline to force their will on the D. At least not now. And there are few Olines that can really do that today (in fact I'm not sure there are any) because D players are so big, fast, and talented.
There is no mystery to the Rams offense. They do NOT was to pass the ball. They do NOT have confidence that they can pass the ball. And any armchair football fan can see it. Why is this? That's the $64,000 question.
I'm not sure that in recent memory I've heard a HC say that their entire offense runs through the RB.......only Fisher. And therein lies the problem imo.
