To actually believe that Kroenke moved the team to L.A.for the good of the fans and just happened to accept the accidental fact that the team automatically became double it's prior worth is so naive it's mind boggling. No I do not pretend to know what goes on in the owner's mind but from what little research I've done I believe the earth is round.
I don't think anybody thinks that, but if you can double or triple your franchises worth and become a legend at the same time... why not ???? I don't care why he did it, but luckily for us he had the vision, money ,power and leverage to do it.
LA gave him a chance to build his own stadium on a grand scale. Being a legend in LA ? I don't see anything to indicate those are his motives. Being a legendary sports owner on a national scale? That's far more likely. Out Jerrying Jerry. That;s what I see in SK. LA just happens to be the place he could do that with the league's blessings since they wanted that market.
In terms of being beloved in LA...you know, when the Rams moved to St.L, I would encounter St.L fans who simply did not want to hear any criticisms of Georgia. She brought them the team, that's all they needed to know about her.
In the end, R2K old friend, we're each just going to see it the way we see it. So good discussion, and nicely civil. But I personally have hit "agree to disagree" territory on this. So this was my last shot and I will bow out, cause...Tampa.
Anyway go Rams.
