A Brief History Of Rams Losing Streaks (past decade-ish)

September 20, 2016 02:04PM
How often do good teams like NE and SEA even lose two or three in a row? You have to be consistent and string together more wins before aspiring to the playoffs. This sounds like the Captain Obvious, John Madden point that the team with more points wins, just observing that anything more than even a few game losing streak or multiple few game losing streaks inexorably seems to doom a team to failure (few exceptions to the rule, like the 0-5 SD team that made the playoffs). And that is something we have been completely unable to prevent for at least a decade now.

2007-2011 infamous 15-65 half decade (worst in NFL history, maybe North American professional sports?)

2015 - five game
2014 - two three game
2013 - ditto
2012 - three game
2011 - six and seven game
2010 - three two game (in the remaining 10 games, 8-2 would only get to .500 overall)
2009 - seven and eight game
2008 - four and ten game
2007 - eight and four
2006 - five and two
