"they may have had a starting QB in Mannion already on their roster without making the huge trade" Grits, I don't agree with this statement.
When we have seen Mannion in the preseason he has been playing mostly against 2 and 3's and ultimately free agents who don't make the team or even practice squad. What I saw from Mannion during this time was a hugh improvement from last year. This year he knows the offense and knows where the ball is supposed to go. But when I watch him throw I didn't see anywhere near the "talent" I see in Goff. Goff made lots of mistakes, didn't know the offense was confused at times but when he threw the ball I was excited because I could tell this kid has talent and when he catches up with learning the offense (no easy job) he will be far superior to Keenum or Mannion and I think will take this team much farther than either Keenum or Mannion ever could.
