it is also a fact that the Pats were down to their backup QB for the first four games,
That has nothing to do with what I said. I was referring to a situation with the Rams where across the last 2 previous years they had issues both with the OL and the qb at the same time. That's why they were losing and that's why they started over, basically.
You have in New England a #2 qb who has been learning behind a top starter on playoff team for 2 years.... on a stable team that has been that stable for years.
They're not comparable situations.
Give Brady 2 successive knee injuries, forcing the team to dump him; then have Garoppolo melt down to the point where he's benched and cut; then at the same time have the OL collapse due to injuries and have to be replaced.
THEN you would have a comparable situation.
Just being one of the fans of 31 different teams who is always saying "but Billichick is better" doesn't do it for me.
....
Problem with your way of looking at it:
You think that the Rams in 2013 were anything more than an average offense (team)before the injuries
While even then we saw many of the same shortcomings we see still see now
An undisciplined team with an abundance of penalties, coming out flat often, no in game adjustments for example
The line back then was anything but a good line , they had problems in run blocking an protection resulting in all those hits on Bradford
I think you are overvaluing that offense a lot in your memory
And as you said yourself the WR unit was lacking that go to,guy back then and still does
Go rams!
