But in game situations where some innovation is required, (almost every play of every game), it is. Noticeable, that is. And not in a good way.

Actually we have seen that from Keenum. The innovation. Right in games last year. I can name some of the the plays if you want. If I had time, I could link highlight vids from games and tell you what spot to go to in the vid.

It's obvious that CK is never going to carry a game. But everything people says he can't do (throw long, improvise) we have SEEN him do, in games.

But a game manager type, even a good one, is going to need other things to work to be effective.

You are right
We have seen him do those things
But hey, on some days , when everything is perfect I can hit a drive 300 yards
But on normal days I hit it 250-260 max
Keemun has a weak arm but that does not mean on some rare occasions he can air it out
Go rams!

Did you think everything was perfect in the last 4 games last year?

That's how you would describe that situation?

Yet they won 3, and took another to overtime.

Keenum didn't cause those wins but he was effective. So was the running game. And the defense had slipped without Quinn or Tree and others but it was still more effective than it was in the first half Monday.

I was talking about single plays when he showed better arm strength than usual
Was not talking about his performance in entire games
Only arm strength

Go rams!

I am talking about what we have seen in 4 games from CK and it wasn't "showing better arm strength than usual." Which of course is not possible anyway.

He has enough arm strength to loft long passes, which is something he did do (in each game last year). But it depends on timing, anticipation, and a quick decision. Throwing long isn't all arm strength. Last year it depended on other factors too like having the run game be a threat.

People who want to reduce Monday's game to Keenum will always be taking the wrong path. We have already seen him do, a few times, everything everyone says he can't do. That is just is a matter of remembering what we saw in the last 4 games.

What went wrong Monday did not get down to one player. It was a series of things (including people underestimating the 9er defense, which has enough talent to be better than it was last year under Tomsula/Mangini).

In terms of whether CK's armstrength is adequate for long plays, watch the highlights vid and recall what we saw last year. It's there. And it's not a matter of variable arm strength.
