Shaw isn't leaving Stanford. He is about as in grained to a University and a community as any college HC in the Country right now. Articles written about such all the time here in the Bay Area. Him and his wife love Stanford, in fact I think she works on campus, and they are on record stating they have young children and they don't want to up root them. And Stanford and the alumni love him.
