Re: My key to the game: solid, containing, suffocating defense

I'm with you RFL....I think these 1st games are going to be about our defense playing good' to near great. The O-Line can play OK but until we have some type of a consistent passing game with our WR's (need Coop and Spruce...at least to see if they can indeed offer anything.....preseason may show hope, but that's all)......

IMO our run game will be tested hard...others will focus on that until we show some ability to pass....and for more than 5 yard plays.....

The whinners are a team with vet/known players, but new scheme....are they up to that after a training camp, OTA's and 4 games? All I know is we are in the better position as far as that goes...save for an anemic passing game....

We IMO we need this game (so do they?)...it only gets harder from here....last year those early losses could be looked at as our reason for no playoffs.....We need to not so much start out fast....but we need to just work our selves down the field on offense....and our defense needs to get as many breaks as they can get until the back seven are truly comfortable....Tree may be looking good in practice....and he may be becoming a leader....but when games count he needs to define what scheme they are in really quick so he is playing and not thinking....IMO that will take some time.....

yea...D is the key to this game.....
