That may mean something in terms of Fisher keeping his job.

Most fans and media will jump all over this and Fisher will take heat.

So you can think whatever you want, and you may even be right (thats not the point here), but you can't control the "non-objective" folks who just may influence Kroenke. Because those non-objective folks buy the tickets and merchandise and write the news.

Well I notice you didn't respond to the actual argument.

I said even if the Eagles are one of the rare teams that can win with a top-picked rookie qb, the percentages are still low.

So why would he of all people suddenly make this huge difference in evaluating whether to start rookie qbs.

Unless people just want to ignore all the evidence and contexts and blow up one example for reasons that could not possibly be objective. If you take one example out of context and make something out if it isn't, that's because it fits a view you already have.

Meanwhile if he struggles, which is much more typical, it won't say anything either. That's just the norm.

....

There is gonna be a huge optics problem for Kroenke.

All that stuff you said may very well be true. What do you want me to say? Ok, I agree with you, you're right about that stuff.

But it won't make a damn bit of difference if Wentz is shiny this year on the field while Goff is in street clothes.

You seem to be having a problem acknowledging that this could be a problem for the Rams braintrust.

Hey, I still prefer Goff over Wentz. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about optics, PR, advertising, and business. Kroneke may care more about that then he does about when its right to start a rookie QB.

I didn't "miss" that.

I assumed that was you doing wishful mindreading

You have no idea what SK is going to think about anything, and neither do I. From my point of view, the idea that he would undo an entire regime in mid-move because a rookie qb doesn't start for a few weeks sounds completely preposterous to me. I don't think he's that kneejerk.

That sounds like an over-reacting fan kind of thing to me, not a smart team owner kind of thing.

If Fisher goes, it would have to be, I think, for something more real and substantial than that.
