Only stating the obvious......Any of you ever start a new job? You know the feeling? Only things to know on Day 1.... Don't be late! Bathroom? Time Clock?
Remember the TV Show Kung Fu?
"Young Grasshopper, when you can snatch pebble from hand, then you are ready,"
Remember Yoda on Star Wars?
"Young Jedi. There is Do or Do not. There is no try."
I have coached HS Football for 23 years....Goff is good! .He has "flashed" the ability to make NFL throws and reads. In time, when he is ready, he will be our starting QB and he will be a darn good one.
IMHO...This team is ready to WIN. We will have patience with Goff. Case Keenum allows us the opportunity to win games now and develop a young QB of the future. It's a Winning combination. No need to rush it.
When Goff is ready to "DO", then he will "DO".
If the Team is ready to win why draft Goff at this time ?
Why not Keep the picks and improve WR and S for example for this Season NOW ?
who knows what next year will bring. Maybe Gurley or Donalds get injured or we lose more guys to free agency like this offseason.
If you think you are Close now and your incumbent QB is good enough to win you bring in Players to help you now and do not wait for the development of a rookie QB who might pan out or not.
I can see no logic in your and others Approach. Unless you want to rebuilt forever or hope that Goff is an elite QB to carry the Rams on his back for 10-15 year ala Brady or Manning or Elway and those likes.
Which I do not think he will turn out to be.
Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!
