The Rams passing game improving is as much about the TEs as the WRs. In the three years Cook was here he and Kendricks combined for 83, then 79, then last year down to 64 receptions.
I would love to see Kendricks and Higbee combine for 80-90. If they did I think the 3rd down conversion rate and red zone scoring would be noticeably better. Ugly drop vs. PITT last year aside, I've always thought Kendricks was a pretty reliable receiver. His catch percentage over the past four years is 68% and above 70% over the past two years. So get the guy more targets....
And Higbee looks like he has excellent hands, route running and of course size. Groh is already using him in more creative ways than Schottenheimer or Cignetti ever would have.
I quite agree, 93.
I firmly believe that our TE passing attack is now gonna be on the rise. We've gotten a taste of it in the preseason games.
Another thing that Fisher said in a very recent presser. He said that they've deliberately kept their planned '16 O under wraps in the PS games. Yeah, he always says and does that. But this year I believe that there are Boras/Groh influenced passing plays that are truly gonna be "different". I take this to mean Britt and Austin plus Cooper and Spruce, not just the TE group.
