GRob played 4 series.
1st series. Perfect.
2nd series. Perfect.
3rd series. Allowed some pressure in Pass Pro but his man didn't reach the QB. But otherwise was good.
4th series. Whiffed on one play (Pass pro) and his man definitely affected the play; but otherwise was good.
He pass protected well against DE and OLB.
In run blocking he pushed people around.
You are not going to find a better D against the pass than the Broncos. So he was going up against about as good as he'll see. And he did a fine job.
So the idea that he relapsed or somehow didn't play well simply doesn't fit the tape.
Starting with the 5th series Williams went in and to say he had a rough night is the understatement of the year! He could seem to pass pro against anybody they threw at him. Not sure what happened. He has played well this preseason, in earlier games. He doesn't appear to be able to handle good speed rushers. Kiss of death for an LOT.
