I don't disagree that some of those drops were tough spots but they were drops nonetheless.
I counted four:
Duke Williams in the 1st half - an egregious drop that killed the drive.
Malcolm Brown 1st half – It may have been tough for him to hold onto the ball b/c he was in position to get lit up and he did. However, he dropped the ball before he got hit. A good WR/RB makes that catch for a 1st down and keeps the drive alive.
Mike Thomas 2nd half – just a blatant drop with the ball accurately placed in his hands. No excuses on this one…
Mike Thomas 2nd half – It’s 4th and 2, and the ball is in his hands. The defender makes a great play but a good receiver aggressively goes after that and secures it.
All four of those should have been drive extending catches.
You're gonna let Hemingway slide on at least one of those at the goal line in the 4th qtr, dz?
I think at least one of those should count. Either Higbee or Spruce makes the catch(s), IMO. Heartbreaking.
