About Mannion.
I only saw the end of the game last night. So for years now we have wanted more success in the red zone. Hasn't really happened. Our QB's can't get it done when needed.
Watched Mannion this year, (not just this last game), and I liked what I've seen... I have seen not anything even CLOSE to the all to often post critique that 'he's bad'. So I must, respectfully, return the statement - "I don't know what you're seeing".
I don't think he's ready. I do not 'know' that he ever will be, but in this current crop of QB's... Keenum and Goff, he's in the mix. Then yesterday's game... he does his job, delivers the ball 3 times, (by my count), and gets 3 drops for his efforts. IOW... he delivered and NOT just 'delivered'... he did it in the highly touted RED ZONE... then today I read how bad he is. All I can draw from this critique is that if a receiver drops a ball that's right in his hands, or at minimum 'catchable'... it's on the QB.
That does explain our WR situation, however.
