C'mon.
Players and agents being bullied?
The CBA indeed covers almost everything.
But the idea that what player wants is to be paid in full by two teams simultaneously, because he's been cut (almost always for either getting into trouble for the umpteenth time or simply not playing well enough), is not reasonable. Nice if you can get it. But essentially a player gets rewarded for either fouling up or just not being very good.
And as a person who lived the last several years of my life based on contracts, you get what you negotiate. But it's a two way street. It is perfectly fair if Bosa wants to walk away and try his luck next year. But it is equally fair for the Chargers to draw a line and say take it or leave it at this point or to trade his rights and let someone else have the problem.
That ONE guy can't seem to get a deal done; and it has become common knowledge that he wants what no other player gets on the Chargers, is a non-starter.
Bullied, strong armed, leveraged, forced or what ever else you want to call it when
some of the teams give an already restricted contract( thanks to the new CBA) and basically restrict it even more and then take a "take it or leave it" stance... Joey is exercizing his right to leave it. May not be the smartest thing to do, but it's what him and his agent seem to be willing to do.
