Great topic to bring up and discuss! thank you. ... it does sound like the coach expects his team to screw up and it is ok for them to make mental errors that cost the team the game.
perhaps this was a poor choice of words by the coach .... and maybe the coach was trying to convey a context of wanting his players to have an ongoing sense of humility, hunger, and desire to be better than they were in the last game.
in 2014 when the Rams defeated the Raiders 52-0 ... did anyone think the Rams didn't have anything to work on?
