Recently, and posted here, Fisher said there had to be a 'cultural' change - he said this in regards to penalties, (little odd that, to me)...
But I think Fisher has established a 'culture' on this team and it needs changing, IMHO. For me they seem to be perfectly comfortable in 'lack of urgency' demeanor. "it will come" "it takes time" "can't expect much at this point". "Too early to judge". It's never 'now'... as I stated some time back it's like "Waiting for Godot".
And yet everything you say seems to indicate you are putting them losing the last 2 years on the coaches, team, and attitude.
Well speaking from a different universe, it looks very different to me.
I think no team wins if it has heavy duty issues with both the qb (starting #2 types, a starter melting down, another injured) and the OL (repeated bouts of multiple injuries, a very inexperienced new unit).
Really. I can't think of any teams that won a lot under those conditions.
So I don't pay much attention to the culture or the strategies or try and come up with some ideas about their urgency.
I just say given the fact that they had both those issues (qb, OL) and played a tough schedule in a tough division, going 7-9 is quite an accomplishment.
