Negatives
1st - I hate how flat the Rams came out... The Cowboys came out as if they were the team returning to LA the KO return was inexcusable and I don't care who was playing special teams...those kinds of things don't happen to good teams. Prepared teams...but they seem to happen to the Rams
2nd negative - the Rams defense made Prescott look like Tony Romo... The Rams defense continues to mail in preseason games. It's not a good look. If I was Fisher I would be embarrassed that they allowed Prescott to look that good
3rd - Is Prescott that good - The Cowboys offense looked like a well oiled machine
4th - Probably my second biggest issue after Fisher not having the team prepared is the drops by the WRs. These are inexcusable. I hope that coach is eating their asses alive after that performance. Including Tavon who dropped a ball that would converted a 3rd down, and Cooper who had a ball knocked lose on a absolute dime thrown by Goff before the half. There were other drops as well and they are unforgivable. We cannot have that crap any longer PERIOD!
Positives
1) I thought all the QBs played well with Goff obviously struggling more than either Kennum or Manion. I would love to see Manion with the starters. Goff looks the part... He looks bigger and stronger already. Dude throws a nice ball too... He was a little strong on the throw to Quick on that deep sideline throw and Cooper absolutely has to hang to that ball before the end of the half. Cooper is gong to play. HE MUST HANG ON TO THAT BALL... I don't care if he got hit or sensed a hit coming. I liked what I saw from Goff. He took a couple of sacks and obviously was late getting rid of the ball on the int. I didn't like that but that is part of his learning process. Let's hope the kid is not too banged up... He was clearly wincing. My gut tells me from the short glimpse last night that physically he is the Rams best QB right now. I really liked what I saw from Manion. I want to see more
2) I thought the oline line looked good didn't notice too many jail breaks and they were outstanding in the the run game
3) The running game looked REALLY strong... Very nice. Obviously Cunningham ...but Brown is a bruiser and and Green showed flashes. I feel really good about how they performed last night!
4) Higbee and Spruce - Very nice. Higbee looks like he really will be able to contribute immediately. Cooper looked good as a returner for sure. Very fluid runner... But I believe he had not just the one big drop before the half but another one earlier. Spruce is a gamer. Physically he's at a disadvantage but he's one of those try hard big heart guys. You always need a few of those on ur team for sure. He is likely headed for special teams this year.
5) The crowd... Wow what a turnout. That was awesome seeing all those people in the coliseum.
