He showed very good composure for a rookie qb playing in his first pro game at home.
His o-line was a sieve and his wr's were awful.
Just another example of why stats fail in painting a picture of a players performance.
Wentz was 12/24 89yds and 1 pick. Nothing special right?
He had 3 drops, a bad snap that he recovered with amazing athletic ability and saved a 15yd loss by throwing the ball out of bounds.
On another play he correctly read a backside blitz and released the ball quickly and on target to his hot.
On another play in shotgun, he had an immediate rush in his face, moved away from the rush and got rid of the ball for a completion.
He did have a bad INT with pressure in his face.
His composure was striking to me. He did not look overwhelmed and made very few mistakes.
Those are some of the things I will be looking for from Goff tonight.
yeah he did. Another example of stats not telling the story.
He missed a few open receivers when he left the pocket too soon but for game 1 he looked pretty good I thought.
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
