Care to explain further? What's absurd about it?
The only one that is remotely surprising to me is TJ being listed as 3rd team SS. And even that makes some sense given his off field issues this year and the time he has missed. It's probably a punishment of sorts.

That quote, 1st team reps, and the emphasis on Quick in the RZ tells me he's safe. Bank on it.

Let's [put the physical aspects aside for a moment.Both Wes Welker and Julian Edleman are/were extremely smart route runners in understanding coverages and setting up defenders.
You're talking about receivers with multiple 100+ rec seasons against all types of coverages.
Tavon hasn't shown anything close to that type of ability as a route runner thus far in his career.
I really hope you mis-quoted Groh, if not I'm even more concerned.
Groh doesn't have a lot of experience and I didn't see any great development in Chitown.
I can tell you that it wasn't a misquote, la.
But perhaps Groh was publicly praising Austin to build his confidence and further motivate him? An age old coaching technique, after all.
