To me it's just cheap. Like when comedians make fun of mentally or physically challenged people. It used to be "OK" to do it, now it's not which is fine with me. It's not making me thnk anyone is tough anytime or anywhere I see it. It actually makes me a little sad.
The most interesting thing about rap/hip hop that is "gangsta" IMO is that it's largely written and performed by mostly poorly educated young black men from the ghetto/inner city/poorer area and purchased by white kids in the suburbs/well to do areas who want to add some "street cred" in their feeble minds so they can forget they are pimply faced pencil neck gingers with no prom date.
I'm mostly kidding there of course.....
