The one thing I'm certain you're not right about is the over-confidence. There is plenty to be concerned about, even if the concerns aren't deterministic. And the part in red offers no relief because we've played that scene before and know how it ended.
Hopefully Goff turns out to be great. He does have a couple important qualities that could help him get there.. But if he doesn't, nobody should be surprised.
Well you can call it over-confident or wrap it up in a bow of blind hope but that is not who I am... I could easily be wrong and he ends up your typical first round bust.. Heck maybe Wentz, Lynch and next years crop of QB's all turn out to be better pro's.
Predicting a college QB to be a star NFL quarterback based on his film, personality, body size and the other 50 intangibles that go into it is above my pay grade. I will say the work and time I've spent on him gives me a calm before the storm of negative reviews and concerns that I expected as soon as he was drafted.
I have never guaranteed he will be a superstar and I don't proclaim to be the QB whisperer of the herd.. I just have my perception and to be honest I never expected a big year from him in 2016.
I do expect him to throw many worries away from those that will be down on him when he has those rookie (deer in the headlight moments.)
I'm no more qualified than anyone on this board to make crystal ball predictions but at least I have done the work and for me until proven different Goff is special. He may not start until later in the season nobody knows for sure.
I know like someone once told me on this board even if we disagree with a another poster about their personal view/opinion we are all on the same team and
We all want the same thing which is for the Rams to win. sorry if the confidence came off as arrogant I never intended it to be that way..
GO LA Rams!
