All Brooks is doing is taking a dimmer view of the progress of the young QB.
I have no issue with it.
Perhaps, it drives the youngster to improve even more.

What I've seen thus far, which is very little, is that Jared possesses very nice footwork on his backpedal, and very nice form on his delivery.
That says nothing about his future.
I would prefer to see Fisher do what Brooks suggests. Let Keenum start; Let Jared watch; Get through the first few games, and hope that we win more than lose. I'd rather second guess that situation, than start the season with a road loss the Niners, and home opener loss to Seattle because the get pigeon holed into starting the number one draft pick too soon.
OTOH, if Jared shows some moxy and weathers this preseason stuff well? Then, it would be hard not to start the kid
That Brooks doesn't offer the glowing report is just fine by me. Looking forward to dissecting this kid over the next 4 weeks.
