And it makes folks like me (in STL) stop and think twice about where our loyalties truly lie -- with the team or with the home city.
I'll admit: I do retain more interest in how the Rams do than, say, the Chiefs (also from Missouri) or the Bears (also the Midwest).
But you'll have to allow us STL fans, I hope, some twisted pleasure if the Rams falter this season... sour grapes directed not at the players, whom STL fans cheered for in vain in 2015, but rather at Kroenke and maybe even Demoff. (We also want any of Kroenke's other real-estate ventures to crash and fail, too...)
It's very hard for me to do an "oh, well, that's life" when the aloof/absentee owner sh*ts all over my city through his aloofness/absenteeism ever since butting in line (legally) in front of a present/enthusiastic would-be purchaser in Shahid Khan.
You're to be admired for your true passion for this franchise despite never having "your city" as a home. Have fun this season!
