One game a year in London isn't exactly a national thirst for a sport, LOL, c'mon with that.
China does care about ping pong, it's the national sport so you know and the players are sometimes celebs. Do you want to reconsider your thoughts on that? It's one of many popular sports in the country. Badminton and hoops are up there too.
Just because a few rich guys are buying British soccer teams doesn't mean that American football will be embraced by the population. How did you make that leap in logic. Especially since soccer is the most popular sport in the nation. They aren't "suddenly in love" with it, they have been playing the sport for A CENTURY and have had a national team longer than the NFL has been around.
All of this can change of course. We saw it happen here with the NFL and MLB as football overtook baseball.
But that took decades. And in the nation where they were developed and loved.
SK is flat out blowing smoke about "building the Rams brand". He's going to China to cash checks. Just like he was ready to go to London three straight years.
If he, or you, thinks that fans in a foreign country that don't follow the American game of football are going to embrace one of the sorriest franchises in that sport in the last 30 years well........
I have a bridge for sale......

American football is supposedly not their cup of tea either. Saying China cares mostly about Ping Pong is pretty hilarious. They're buying up English Premier league teams as they're suddenly in love with soccer. Also the government controls a lot of the tv over there. Would it be worth something for Stan to get broadcast rights or partnership for broadcasting Rams games? Who knows.
We agree that the China thing stinks for Rams fans here. It's silly to dismiss it as not economically viable. You think the NFL and Kroenke haven't done any on the ground research before announcing this/? Seriously?
