than having two players with the ability of Austin and Gurley. No doubt defenses will adapt and force Goff to master the full spectrum of the offensive system but out of the blocks I think Goff, even without experience, can utilize those two players with game winning effectiveness.
I have no idea how the Keenum/Goff thing is going to transpire. If Keenum starts and is winning, and obviously contributing in the wins, then I don't see them tossing Goff in 'just because' even should it continue the entire season... and if Keenum does win the rumor mill is going to ramp up to 11 on the volume scale that Goff is behind on the progress scale... unwarranted IMHO - based solely on Keenum winning. Who would replace a QB who's winning games?
What I feel will happen is that Keenum will be Keenum which to ME means mediocre football and paving the way for Goff.
Despite 'kidding', and kidding often, about 'jinx's' this is one area where my rationality takes a siesta... we're jinxed. Old Hacker once broke a jinx by burning sage, God Bless him... As desperately as we need Goff to be 'the one' we need a jinx breaker of Old Hackers ilk desperately. - JamesJM
