Everybody has their opinions on Fisher as a Ram HC. And that's perfectly fine.
Allow me to offer Dick Vermeil as an example of what a really good HC can do. One example is as a young rookie HC. The other two as a vet HC.

He took over a dreadful Eagle team in '76. In his 3rd year he turned in a winning 9-7 record. His 4th year was 11-5. His 5th year was 12-4 and NFC Champions.
He took over a dreadful Ram team in '97 (after a prolonged 15 year absence from coaching, mind you). He turned in a 13-3 record in '99 and won a SB. Still the only Ram SB winning HC.
He took over a dreadful Chiefs team in '01. In his 3rd year he turned in a 13-3 record.
See a pattern here? THOSE are the kind of results that a top notch HC turns in. And he did it THREE times!
So.....
Spare me the Jeff Fisher excuses that we still hear as he enters his FIFTH season as Rams HC.
