three team stats Rams most need to improve

1. Points Differential- currently +12 (15th in the NFL). This would have them on pace for +38 for the year (after being +149 and 143 the past two years). Historically most teams with +35-40 PD for the year are 9-7 or maybe 10-6 teams.

2. Turnover Ratio- an obvious one but to point out the Rams are -4 for the season so far. They were +11 and +7 the past two seasons. On average only one or two teams per year make the playoffs with negative turnover margins. Worth noting I suppose that the 2000, 2001 and 2004 Rams were among them. 3. QB Rating Differential- an increasingly popular stat in the league, this is looked at as one of the most accurate predictors of team success. The Rams are -9.9 right now (83.0 QB Rating by Goff, 92.9 rating allowed by the defense). They were +7.0 in 2018 and +19.9 in 2017.
