The Los Angeles Rams stay on the road this week against the Denver Broncos, the second of three straight games away from home. They’re one-touchdown favorites over Denver, though inclement weather at Mile High Stadium could play to the Broncos’ advantage.

Here are five stats and facts to know for Sunday’s matchup.

Broncos, Rams share bit of history

The Rams have obviously gotten off to a red-hot start, but it’s also been a historic one. They’ve won each of their first five games, scoring at least 30 points in every one. Only four other teams in NFL history have accomplished that feat, three of which went on to reach the Super Bowl. The last time to do it was Denver in 2013 behind Peyton Manning’s remarkable season.

Could the Rams be on a similar path? It’s possible.

Aaron Donald and Von Miller are at the top of their classes

When thinking about the best defensive players in football, Donald and Miller always come to mind, and it’s obvious as to why. Since entering the NFL in 2011, Miller leads all outside linebackers with 87.5 sacks. Donald came into the league three years later in 2014, but he leads all defensive tackles with 42 sacks.

Needless to say, they’ve been the best at their respective positions.

Rams have won last three meetings with Broncos

The Rams and Broncos only play once every four years, but it’s been a one-sided affair in the past three meetings. The Rams have won each of the past three matchups with Denver dating back to 2006. That year, they beat them 18-10, followed by a 36-33 victory in 2010. Four years ago, the Rams blew out Denver 22-7, which was a huge surprise with Shaun Hill at quarterback.

Rams are best road team in NFL since 2017

Since Sean McVay took over last year, the Rams have been the best road team in the league. They’re 9-1 away from home, and 10-1 if you include their win in London last season. This is the second of three straight road games for Los Angeles after the Rams knocked off the Seahawks in Seattle on Sunday.

Broncos have used far fewer specialists through 5 games

The Rams have churned through specialists at a ridiculous rate this season. Because of countless injuries, they’ve used four players to kick field goals, three punt returners and four kick returners. The Broncos, on the other hand, have used just one kicker, two players on punt returns and two on kick returns. The biggest discrepancy is obviously in the kicking game where Brandon McManus is a perfect 8-for-8 on field goals and 10-for-10 on PATs.
