I've added a poll to see what fellow Rams fans think the Rams will be facing at the QB position going into the year they move into the new stadium.
I don't think the team will make a decision about Goff at the end of 2017 unless it is a total disaster. And I don't think McVay will allow that to happen. He'll design the offense to protect McVay.
My opinion is that Goff will become a Phillip Rivers/Eli Manning level of QB in the NFL and that Goff will not be elite. But at the same time, I just see too many tools for a very young QB to think that he'll be average or less.
But, just as with all QBs, Goff will only look as good as the players that surround him, the coaches that develop him, and the HC and OC that design the offense around Goff's best qualities and eliminate what he does poorly. Almost all QBs are "system" QBs to one level or another. So the system is going to matter a great deal for Goff.
