What positions will the Rams attack in the draft?

March 20, 2017 01:40PM
Been thinkin' about it.

It seems to me that TruJ is the key as to what the Rams will do in the draft.
If they feel certain that they want to keep him (and can keep him) long term, then they won't spend their 2nd rounder pick on a CB. In that case, they'll spend it on a Receiver; either a TE or a WR.

Regardless: it is clear that whatever more improvement the Rams are going to have on offense must come from the draft. So I see BIG priorities as Center, WR and TE.

They are going to pick for need, because they truly have needs. They have all the OTs and OGs they need. They have all the RBs they need and they won't even think about QB. They already have nothing but a bunch of young guys. But they are really short on TE and WR. And they simply don't have a starting Center. That's why regardless of what some think, if they think Mangold's health is good enough, they'll cross their fingers and sign him to an incentive laden contract. Highly unlikely any rookie Center can play better than an 85% Mangold.
